Social Innovation Challenge: What’s your humanitarian solution?
Navigating their way through paddy fields, rivers and knee-deep mud, hundreds of displaced people fleeing violence in Myanmar’s northern Rakhine State are arriving in Bangladesh every day. Since August 25, 2017, more than 600,000 people have fled their homes.
Given the complexities of such humanitarian crisis, what can individuals, groups and nations do in dealing with large-scale population movements? Do you have a humanitarian solution that could address crises such as the current situation in Bangladesh?
Led by the Youth Advisory Committee, the Social Innovation Challenge will allow teams of 3-5 to present their ideas to support the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh. The challenge is open to individuals aged 18-30 of all educational backgrounds and levels of expertise.
